Mikasha chooses to hide her growing panic, feigning ignorance about the image to prevent Eren from spiraling into another identity-shattering breakdown. As she realizes that repairing the watch is effectively erasing her own past to fill the voids in Eren’s, she decides to risk further personal loss to keep the flickering lighthouse projection steady. The chapter ends when the shop's front door bell chimes, revealing a visitor who knows both their names, despite Mikasha losing the ability to remember her own family surname moments prior.
