She awakens to find Aarav Takashi, a man in tattered royal armor, shielding her from the localized discharge of a static-charged orb hovering near the throne. Riyu notices her own journal entry about her past beginning to fade from the paper as a nearby wall inscription drains the words into glowing mist. Realizing her memories are literally evaporating, Riyu chooses to grasp a loose, fraying thread from her own sleeve to weave a makeshift shield, saving herself from total amnesia at the cost of forgetting her mother's voice.
