Mystic World — Chapter 2: The Neon Rune
Bunny Magic follows the flickering neon sign through the crowded alleyways, her heart racing as the rhythm of the light mimics the heartbeat of her lost realm. Upon reaching the building, she realizes the sign is not a gateway, but an advertisement for a forgotten clock shop where the proprietor displays an antique mirror rimmed in the same glowing, ancient runes. As she approaches the mirror, her touch causes the glass to ripple like water, but the effort forces her to collapse as she loses the ability to perceive her own reflection. She chooses to press her hand against the cold, unresponsive glass to siphon back even a fragment of her fading power, but the mirror shatters into dust, leaving her physically exhausted and further drained of her innate light. With her aura now flickering precariously, she hears the heavy, rhythmic thud of industrial boots approaching the alley, signaling that something is hunting her fading signature. She must now flee into the city’s concrete labyrinth, realizing that while she is not alone, she is being tracked by those who harvest the magic she leaks.
