Nyx finally comes face-to-face with Seraya, the Veil’s tracker. She immediately identifies him as the fugitive she has been hunting and orders him to surrender. Nyx refuses, and the two clash. Seraya uses her Aetheris Core to track Nyx’s movements, create energy chains, and attack from different angles. Nyx relies on his incredible speed and raw Dark Energy to overwhelm her attacks. Their battle tears through part of the city, drawing frightened female civilians away from the area. Seraya realizes Nyx is far more powerful than the Veil’s reports suggested. Nyx realizes Seraya isn't just another Veil soldier—she's specifically trained to hunt and capture people like him. The battle escalates until Nyx unleashes a burst of Dark Energy powerful enough to break Seraya's restraints. Nyx escapes before Seraya can capture him. Seraya watches him disappear and realizes the hunt has only just begun.
