Mystic World — Chapter 6: Shattered Steel
As the subway doors are ripped from their hinges, Bunny Magic shoves Bunny behind a rusted structural pillar to shield her from the hunter's initial lunge. The red pulse from the nanite in Bunny Magic's shoulder surges, blinding the hunter momentarily, but the effort causes the shoulder wound to bleed a viscous, glowing ink that begins to evaporate into thin air. Seeing the hunter fixate on the signal, Bunny ignores her own safety and rushes out to bait the creature toward the emergency maintenance hatch. Bunny Magic chooses to drop her defensive cloak entirely to focus her remaining energy on a concussive blast, successfully buying Bunny the time to pry the hatch open. However, the cost of the blast is the total loss of her left arm's tactile sensation as the nanite-ink reaction spreads, and as they scramble into the pitch-black ventilation shaft, they hear the sound of metal being chewed behind them.
