Mystic World — Chapter 7: Numb Silence
Struggling through the claustrophobic ventilation ducts, Bunny discovers that Bunny Magic’s left arm has not only lost sensation but has begun to calcify into brittle, glass-like shards. Bunny desperately tries to navigate the maze of tunnels, but every time Bunny Magic attempts to suppress the glowing red nanite signal, the light only flares brighter in response. Recognizing the signal acts like a beacon for the hunter’s sonic tracking, Bunny makes the gut-wrenching decision to use her own school uniform scarf to bind and hide the glowing limb, effectively silencing the light at the cost of losing her only weapon against the damp cold. This act of protection forces them deeper into the facility, away from the surface and into the dark core of the subway station. Just as they think they have masked their location, the vent grating ahead begins to buckle inward, glowing with the same rhythmic red heat as Bunny Magic’s infected wound.
